Ebb and flood floors
The ongoing development in greenhouse construction is also visible in the work by Verkade Beton. The incorporation of robotics is a development with large consequences for the flatness of a concrete floor. Also the upcoming of different cultivations demands a larger diversity of solutions in concrete floors. With almost 4 million square metres of experience we know what we are talking about. A high grade of flatness, with minimal puddle formation, and evenly watered plants. With this experience we are able to advise you about the number of gutters, the slope and the number of drains necessary. Together with you we decide upon the optimal concept per project, based on your cultivation and the size of your company. We know our business, which is important as the concrete floor is one of the most important parts in greenhouse building. The scale of our organisation is a guarantee for our work. We handle around 20 hectares per year, and whether we have projects of 500 m2 or 30,000 m², we still remain flexible in the cooperation with other suppliers and the construction crew.

Electric boiler
In the greenhouse horticulture sector, electric boilers are often used for greenhouses heating. By using electric boilers in the imbalance market, greenhouse horticulture companies can benefit from lower electricity prices when there is a surplus of renewable energy.

Emission-free filter technology
The cloth filter offers the solution for filtration of water without backwash water, like with sand filters and self-cleaning filters. The cloth filter is a pressure-less filter technology that can easily be applied anywhere. The cloth filter is reliable and easy to use for removing solids from water. The system operates without pressure, which means you save on the energy costs of pumps. The filter process is transparent and ingenious in its simplicity. Innovation can also be easy The cloth filter is a fully automatic filter that filters your water through a filter cloth. This filter cloth removes the undissolved substances from the water. Thanks to a handy flow-through system, there is always a clean and proper-functioning filter cloth available. The used filter cloth with the dirt collected in it automatically falls into the waste bin and can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

FLEXI-GROW MAX Toplight with wireless dimming and control on 4 channels
The Flexi-Grow MAX with its outstanding PPF reaching up to 5200 μmol/s, and 4.1 umol/J efficacy is the ideal choice for the replacement of the traditional 1000W High Pressure Sodium lamp. Similarity in the mounting and cabling options allow smooth transition from the existing HPS lighting system into LED based solution offered by Food Autonomy. Key benefits: - up to 4-channel & wireless dimming option - flexible spectrum, output and efficiency - reaches 4.5 μmol/J when dimmed to 50% - light level up to 5200 μmol/s - fewer luminaires - double the light output of an HPS - wide beam - outstanding uniformity - up to 1300W

FlexSorter
The FlexSorter is a unique selection equipment that combines transplanting and multiple class selection into one simple step. The FlexSorter extracts plants from the donor tray with our in-house developed plant grippers, assisted by a pusher pin system from below. The machine is unique since it selects plants and handles the plugs only once. The plant grippers give the plants space so that it's easy to determine the plant's quality. After selection, the FlexSorter transfers approved plants to the selected destination belts, grade by grade. The number of classifications depends on the number of destination belts and is maximized at four. Discarded plants and empty plugs are collected on a waste belt. The selected trays are all combined, class by class. Both the machine and the imaging system offer an easy-to-understand user interface with inbuilt self-diagnosis. The FlexSorter is the new generation of selection equipment, avoiding plant damage due to double handling of plants.

Floating screens, more efficient oxygen input at wastewater treatment plant.
More efficient oxygen input at Eerbeek wastewater treatment plant through floating screens Albers Alligator. The aeration process is one of the most important parts of the wastewater treatment process at Industriewater Eerbeek (IWE). During this process, aerators introduce additional oxygen into the water and set the water in motion so that the bacteria can do their job as well as possible (eat the wastewater "clean"). Albers Alligator, after a joint brainstorming session, developed a product in which the aerator tank can be divided into two compartments. The floating screen allows the sections of the basin to be aerated in different ways (bubble regulation). This allows the amount of oxygen to be better regulated and exactly where it is needed for the bacteria to do their job properly. This method of aeration ensures that less oxygen is needed overall to purify the water and drain it to the post-sedimentation tank, energy costs go down (as the blowers that blow air into the tanks use a lot of energy). The water footprint is reduced in this way and the goal of being fully circular comes another step closer.
