Founded in 1871 by Carl Benz, MWM has over 150 years of expertise in the development and production of gas engines and generator sets in Mannheim, Germany. Continuous innovation has positioned MWM among the world’s leading suppliers of highly efficient, environmentally friendly combined heat and power (CHP) systems.
MWM’s product portfolio covers gas engines and gensets ranging from 400 kWe to 4,300 kWe. Our engines operate on a variety of gases—including natural gas, biogas, landfill gas, sewage gas, mine gas, and hydrogen‑rich gas—while maintaining exceptional stability even with fluctuating gas compositions. Designed for maximum electrical and thermal efficiency, low operating and maintenance costs, and exceptional reliability, MWM CHP systems can achieve overall efficiencies above 90%.
MWM Benelux B.V., based in Rotterdam, is fully owned by the MWM plant in Mannheim. We provide 24/7 customer support throughout the entire lifecycle of the CHP installation. Our service network covers the Netherlands and Belgium, ensuring that a qualified technician is always nearby.
MWM cogeneration systems feature electronic management systems with remote data access. Our optimized logistics process enables fast spare‑part delivery—including Night Delivery—while service vehicles are equipped with the most commonly required components for efficient on-site support.

Hydrogen
Green Hydrogen as Clean Fuel for MWM Gas Engines and Cogeneration Power Plants MWM has extensive experience in the use of gas engines with hydrogen admixture. Through the deployment of various MWM products and technologies in customer projects, MWM has implemented trend-setting projects with a hydrogen content of up to 60 percent.

Gas Engine TCG 4170 V20 (2,500 kWel)
Output: 2,500 kWel - Excellent electrical efficiency of up to 46 percent at optimal CHP output - Full power in under five minutes and maximum load step performance of 60 percent - New TCS control system available in various configurations - Location-independent 24/7 digital plant monitoring - High fuel flexibility, designed for natural gas, propane gas, hydrogen blends, and other types of gas - Currently available as 50-Hz variant (60-Hz variant will be available in 2026)

Gas Engine TCG 3016 (400 - 1,000 kWel)
