About us
Since 1990, SchermNed has specialised in screen installations and insect netting for greenhouse horticulture. As a family business, we combine decades of practical experience with technical expertise and a personal approach. We advise, supply, install, renovate and maintain systems for a wide range of greenhouses and projects.
A well-designed screen installation helps regulate light, temperature and ventilation inside the greenhouse. This allows the climate to be tailored to the crop and can contribute to efficient energy use. SchermNed supplies horizontal screen systems, roller screens and ridge screens, as well as solutions for existing installations.
There are also several options when it comes to insect netting. We offer our own insect netting filter system, fixed insect netting and harmonic insect netting. The right solution depends on factors such as the greenhouse, the crop, the ventilation windows and the required airflow. We assess each project individually and tailor the installation to the situation.
Our work ranges from renovating or modifying an existing installation to delivering complete screen or insect netting projects. Customers can also rely on us for service and maintenance of screen installations and ventilation mechanisms.
We deliver projects in the Netherlands and internationally, with our own project supervision, engineering and installation teams.

SchermNed insect netting filter system
The SchermNed insect netting filter allows you to protect your crops against unwanted insects on the outside of the greenhouse in an affordable and environmentally friendly manner. At the same time, you can keep beneficial insects inside, within an optimum climate. Our system offers you improved ventilation and light transmission in comparison to the traditional Harmonica netting system. It can easily be installed in either existing or new-build greenhouses. It can also be installed without the need to modify the vent opening system, whilst maintaining maximum window opening.

It was Jack van der Voort's father from SchermNed who came up with a self-developed insect netting filter system years ago. It is an alternative to the much better-known harmonica netting system in horticulture.
UV stability of insect netting increases further due to global demand
SchermNed has increased the UV stability of its insect netting. This entails a further development of the special insect netting filter that the company has supplied for years. Netting with a kLy of 1350 becomes the new filter standard.

You are the link between the installation teams, customers and our office staff. Your role is varied: you work both in the office and on location, keep oversight, guide teams and monitor quality and progress. Whether you’re new to the job or already experienced, you will always receive proper training and support so you can start with confidence. Your tasks: assessing and preparing projects, supervising technicians, monitoring progress, identifying issues, proposing solutions and keeping project administration up to date. Why SchermNed? (Junior) Technician
As a Screening & Horticultural Technology Technician, you are responsible for the repair and maintenance of various screening systems and insect netting installations. Together with an experienced all-round service technician, you form a strong duo, delivering service and maintenance for a wide range of projects. If you’re less experienced, he will teach you the tricks of the trade. Together, you ensure high-quality results and satisfied customers. Our projects are diverse: from greenhouse screening installations and insect netting to custom solutions for garden centers, zoos and office buildings. We make sure large glass structures are equipped with our systems. With a good sense of humor, we get a lot done. We work hard, support each other, take initiative and know when to go the extra mile.
