Xenion, a fully autonomous robot platform, foreseen with a UV-C implement has officially arrived at Tomatoworld ! This cutting-edge technology is validating the Tomatoworld fieldlab to prepare the road for future NXT GEN applications.

The setup and fine-tuning has start, followed by a training for Nico Ammerlaan and Jan Enthoven so we can operate the robot efficiently in Tomatoworld.

In December 2024, the first tests in our greenhouse. During this phase, the focus is on:

Programming maps and missions.

Troubleshooting and validating the new infrastructure, including the Robo lab.
This is all part of the NXTGEN Hightech project (Use Case 12: Octiva). Together with Johan De Waen and Twan Hop, who will be providing the training, weโre taking major steps toward revolutionizing autonomous technology in agriculture.

In 2025, they will test a new modular vehicle, building on the infrastructure weโve already optimized this year. This will allow to focus on new features such as:
