Since the past six months, Technokas has seen a growing demand from greenhouse horticulture companies for energy-saving measures. The rapidly rising prices on the energy market are an important instigator for this. Especially the systems developed by Technokas for Next Generation Cultivation now seem to be really breaking through, also in vegetable cultivation. With Het Nieuwe Telen (HNT) a grower can ventilate and dehumidify much longer and in a very dosed way with outside air, while the energy screen can remain closed for energy saving.
Earlier this year and at the end of last year, Technokas already installed their advanced ventilation and dehumidification system for HNT in the new greenhouses of tomato growers Schenkeveld near Schiphol and Van den Belt in IJsselmuiden. At Schenkeveld, approximately 20 hectares of greenhouses are now supplied with fresh, preheated outside air using this technique. Van den Belt uses the air handling units on an area of just under 12 hectares. But in recent months similar orders have been added, in this case for other vegetable growers in existing greenhouses. For example, Technokas installs Gebr. Van Duijn in Oosterland has the air handling units with fresh air being sucked in through the roof of the greenhouse, just like at Schenkeveld. At tomato nursery Van Noord in Sirjansland, Technokas will equip a total of three greenhouses with air handling units. These AHUs are of the type that are installed on the facade.
