Tips for exhibitors

Dear exhibitors: join our green team and take action for the future! As an exhibitor at InstallTech & Bouw, you play a vital role in helping to create a sustainable event. Here are some useful tips to make your participation more sustainable:

Stand Design & Waste

Choose a reusable, all-in-one stand design from the organiser or design your own stand so that it can be reused several times. Work with your stand builder to make your stand as sustainable as possible! Avoid creating a disposable stand for a single event…

Create reusable signage (without dates) from recyclable materials and using eco-friendly ink where possible.

Use LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment for your stand, and don’t forget to switch it off at the end of the day.

Try to avoid using carpet, and if you really need it, opt for reusable carpet tiles where possible. If you do use standard carpet, ensure it is recyclable and that it is recycled.

Where possible, use public transport or carpool with your colleagues.

Choose a hotel within walking distance and/or one that meets environmental standards.

Consolidate your shipments and, where possible, use transport and logistics companies that adopt sustainable practices.

Give preference to local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transport.

Give preference to suppliers that adhere to sustainable and responsible principles.

Please bring your own reusable water bottle to use our drinking fountains and help us reduce the use of single-use plastic.

If you are serving food at your stand, please opt for locally produced and plant-based options wherever possible and avoid using single-use plastic.

Avoid food waste and order only the amount you need.

Take an active part in the various initiatives and discussions during the event that support the sustainable development of your sector.

Inspire visitors by showcasing the sustainable features of your products.
